No sooner than New Year & Chinese New Year are over, and another one, Songkran in Thailand, is almost upon us!
Cambodia tourism is a testament to the resilience, warmth and pragmatism of the people from the Kingdom of Cambodia, formerly known as Kampuchea.
One of then most fascinating places in Thailand has to be the Khao Sok national park. Khao Sok is the largest area of virgin forest in Southern Thailand and is the remains of a rainforest which people claim to be older and more diverse than even the Amazon Basin rainforest.
My aim was to spend a few days exploring the lower provinces of the North of Thailand, with Phitsanulok and Sukhothai as the main destinations, and in particular the Sukhothai Historical Park.
One of the more interesting aspects of business life in Thailand is the annual or biannual company outing.
It has been a few years since I have been to Bangkok’s Chinatown, and a couple more since I visited the area during Chinese New Year.
Koh Tao, or Turtle Island, is not a big island; indeed it only covers 21 square kilometers. It is situated in the Gulf of Thailand off the western seaboard coastline, and it only takes about one and half hours to get there by high speed catamaran from Chumpon.
For those of you living outside Thailand, Koh Chang is on the eastern coastline of Thailand, is in the province of Trat, and is the largest of all of the eastern islands.
