When big just isn't big enough, look no further than a large stuffed animal! Stuffed animals have been a staple of children's bedrooms and toy boxes for years, and now you are no longer limited to purchasing the small versions of these cute and lovable plush toys – large stuffed animals are where it's at and with the vast array to choose from, you will surely be in soft toy heaven!

Before plush stuffed animals ever came along, most toys for children had been manufactured out of hard materials, such as wood or tin. Dolls were popular, but their papier-mâché or porcelain heads and bodies, stuffed with horsehair, were not comforting to cuddle. If it had not been for a bunch of felt elephant pincushions that have been given to women as gifts in 1877, who knows when plush stuffed animals would have been invented.

By definition, a giant stuffed animal is a luxurious comfort that can keep a child (or an adult) company for hours, even years. One of the pluses of owning a giant stuffed animal is that there are a wide variety to fit every pocketbook and desire. Because they're so popular, these three animals have been replicated into fantasy plush toys. Fantasy plush are both a fascinating and engaging way to get a child to use their imagination to its utmost capacity.

What do you buy for the child that has everything? It's the question asked whenever another birthday rolls around or another holiday beckons in the not too distant future. The time-honored answer is simple: what could be better than a big stuffed animal? While you may think stuffed toys are passe, think again.
