![]() I\'m a Kenya safari operator with 13 yrs experience. I\'m based in Nyeri, in Central Kenya. My safari company is Ontdek Kenya.
My specialty is walking safaris, bird watching tours and responsible wildlife safaris away from mass tourism. All my wildlife safaris have some walks scheduled in so that clients are not cooped up in the safari bus throughout their travel. My tours are either small group departures - which are listed on my website or private safaris. Besides the mixed groups tours, I offer women-only tours specifically designed for adventure (active) women travelers who want an alternative style of travel to Kenya other than the vehicle confined package tours. I also have 5yrs teaching experience of 14-18yrs old - my subjects agriculture and sciences. This is the basis on which I organize nature themed educational tours for students. Last but not least I'm a mother of 2 children, under 12yrs who are often on safari with me and this gives me a better appreciation and understanding of what to consider in designing family safaris in Kenya.
