"Remember that when you come at a person with a strong emotion, they will usually react in accordance with that emotion and not with the outcome you desire." In most situations we react from our perspective and usually do not have all the information. We make assumptions about people based on our experience, our reality. What is difficult to realize is that no two people ever have the same experiences throughout their lives and that our perspective is not necessarily the correct one.
Why do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow. Why put off 'til tomorrow what you can do today Each of these mottos follows a different path for setting goals, achieving goals, and living life. See most of us think in a way that PROTECTS us. That means we have a tendency to reject new ideas, fight change, challenge new ways of thinking, and pull back to what is most familiar to us. This is why so many people make great New Year's resolutions only to have them fall apart before 3 months are out.
Like many businesses, you're doing everything you can to stay ahead of your competition. You're developing new processes, training key people on how to be more efficient in their jobs, streamlining your products and services so they are at their peak, and enhancing your marketing department so your business can soar. On the surface, business seems great. However, despite all the planning, your true business results may paint a different picture.
It is not just about wishing, it is about ALIGNING your behavior, actions, thoughts and feelings so the vibrations you give out are in accordance with your goals. The ALIGNMENT is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Nothing will happen without it. Think about when you enter a room and you are just drawn to one person. Or the times that you don't know why but you avoid someone because they always "get you down" or you just feel off center around them.
Sometimes it seems like everyone just wants a piece of you. Just one more question, just one more second of your time. And all you want is a little piece and quiet. So how do you manage stress? Is there really any magic formula to reduce it? The answer is yes and no. You see the magic formula isn't something you get from someone else. It is something that must come from you.
What's Feeding Your Thoughts? Do you look at the news, read books or magazines that stretch your thinking? To be a Critical Thinker you need to develop the insatiable appetite of reading things, not on the surface level, but instead for the thread lines of connectivity with other things you know.
How do you handle disappointment? Do you get angry, upset, quiet, reserved? We all deal with disappointment in different ways. The key is to make disappointment work FOR you rather than AGAINST you. I use disappointment as a time to reassess a situation. I figure it is the Universe's way of redirecting me when I might otherwise have blindly kept going. In hindsight, most disappointments end up being great lessons for me and I come out much stronger.
Remember to recharge yourself by trying new things for sometimes a slight twist in perspective is all you need to re-energize, to see a problem in a new light, or to become more innovative. And, in the process you may just create some new loyal customers, like Brits did last night.
