Anthony Scott was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. The youngest son of a successful Phoenix businessman, his youthful years were not unlike most kids growing up in the 1960’s.
Tony attended Arizona State University, majoring in partying with a minor in avoiding class. He did not write a book
while at ASU, but claims he read one. His dedication to education was less than stellar and eventually he decided to join the United States Army. The military was a good life for Tony. After all training, he received an assignment to Washington, DC, where he worked in the US Senate Liaison office. A co-worker at the time was a Navy Commander named John McCain. Tony remembers CDR McCain, but the opposite may not be true.
After a successful career in the Army, he returned to Arizona and began a career in the business world. A training organization recruited him to conduct seminars and Tony soon moved to California to be with his future ex-wife.
In 1986 after an amicable divorce, he and a friend started a company. They continued in the business until 2000 when Tony met his wife Karen and moved to Texas. When he first met Karen, he told her of his idea for a book. The book was ‘First Lady of the United States’.
Throughout his life, Tony has been a voracious reader. His favorite fictions are mysteries, legal thrillers and crime. He has had several articles published in business journals, but First Lady is his initial venture into the world of fiction writing.
Tony and his wife Karen live in Texas with their three four-legged children Emmy, Edie and Sophie. Between them, they have four children of the two-legged variety: Nick, Suzanne, Elliott and Natalie.
