A key element of deciding what shades of makeup work best on you is to figure out if you are a cool or warm skin tone. You may have heard of or read about these terms before, but do you really know which skin tone you are? Do you know how to find out?

An alternative to wearing blush is using a bronzer. On darker skins, bronzer can give a nice highlighting look to the cheeks, as opposed to a "beachy" look that results when bronzer is put on a light skin tone.

A tinted moisturizer is a moisturizer with some pigment added to it. As an added bonus, most of these products also contain a sunscreen. If you plan to be outside for a good part of the day, buy a product with at least an SPF of 15.

Apply the medium color from lash line to crease. You may use the applicator that comes with the kit, or if you have brushes, use the eye brush with a larger flat head. Brushes will offer a better shape and more control, but this is an individual preference.

One thing you can try is a brow powder to use as filler. The most important thing here is to make sure it closely matches your natural brow color. You do not want to use black filler for blonde or light brown brows! Put the product on the brush, and then be sure to shake off any excess powder.

You actually must have well moisturized and moist skin to get this moist look. One thing you can do is mist your face each morning with a homemade spritz that you can make yourself. One quick spritz you can use is rose water (hydrates) with glycerin (locks in moisture) and witch hazel

Blue and gray shadows will also not be right in this light. Rose, peach and gold will look best in this lighting because they will offset the sallow and greenish cast of the lighting. Black mascara and liner will play much colder and harsher in office lighting than anywhere else, and so you may want to experiment with brown mascara and liners for work.

If you want to get a sheer wash of color on your lips that will last for hours, you may want to try a lip stain. Most cosmetic lines, along with their glosses and lip sticks, also offer a lip stain. A stain is a pigment contained in a gel or water base. For application, you can find them in brush on, marker or pen-like tips, pumps and pots.

A great way to dress up your eyes is with a metallic color shadow. Some of the more popular metallic shades include: cool silver, warm gold, shimmering bronze and copper. You will also see blue, green and gray metallic hues, too. Don't be afraid to try these colors!.

As we age, the cells turn over at a slower rate. As the dead skin cells accumulate and sit on our face, the complexion can look dull and tired. Once the dead cells are sloughed off, the new and shiny "baby" skin that is just below the surface will emerge!
