Steve Andrews comes from Cardiff in Wales where he was given the title Bard of Ely when he was a columnist for Big Issue Cymru magazine.
Nowadays he is based in Tenerife in the Canary Islands where he has made a living as a writer. He has contributed to the Tenerife News and Tenerife Sun newspapers as well as the Living Tenerife, and Kindred Spirit, Permaculture, National Federation of Pensioners (NFOP), Prediction and Feed Your Brain magazines in the UK. He is the author of Herbs of the Northern Shaman which is published by O-Books. He publishes articles about the island of Tenerife at HubPages under the title of Tenerife Islander.
As a singer-songwriter he has performed at Glastonbury and the Green Man festivals and he was a compère for the Avalon stage at Glastonbury in 2002 and 2003. He had songs released on the Taffia EP on Crai Records in 2002 and has since then been released by DMMG Records on which label he has the albums Dive In Deep and Welsh Wizard and the EP Mañana.
