I was born in New Jersey and lived there until I moved to Altanta, Georgia with my first husband. When I married my second and current husband, I lived in Stone Mountain, Georgia which is a suburb of Atlanta. We lived there until we moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in September 1989. In 2000, my husband was offered a job assignment in Tallahassee, FL where we live today. We eagely accepted the offer to move to Tallahassee because we saw it as a great opportunity to return to the South. While there are a lot of people who like the cold and snowy northern winters and dislike the hot and humid southern summers, we are willing to tolerate the summers in Tallahassee so we can avoid the northern winters.
After my three boys were old enough for me to work outside the home, I went to work for Sears in Atlanta. I was working as a buyer's assistant at Sears when my husband and I moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1989 for my husband to pursue a career opportunity. I couldn't find job that was comparable to the one I had at Sears before moving to Pennsylvania. I tried a number of different jobs and finally landed a job in Hershey Chocolate Company's call center. That was the last job I had before moving to Tallahassee.
My husband is still working, but I retired from my member services job with the State Employees Credit Union in September 2005. This situation has given me an opportunity to pursue interests that weren't an option when I was working fulltime. I wrote my autobiography so I could chronicle the many bizarre and incredible events in my life for my children and grandchildren.
Shortly before I retired, my husband and I decided to get another dog. Our "kid's" name is Rambo. He is a cute, lovable maltipoo (there are several different spellings for this mixed breed of maltese and poodle). Rambo was born December 17, 2003, and currently weighs about 13 pounds. Rambo is one of the reasons I decided to continue my new "career" by writing articles about dogs and dog-related issues to share the results of my research and personal experiences as a dog owner.
I'm looking forward to doing a lot more research and writing more articles.

How do I know which dog bed to buy my dog?
I wrote an article titled "How to Select a Bed" maybe it will help you decide. Here is the link to my article.

Humans aren't the only ones that get the flu. Dogs can also be infected by the flu. All dogs owners should know about the potential of their best friend getting the flu. Canine influenza is a very real and highly contagious respiratory infection in dogs, caused by a new and unusual influenza known as the H3N8 virus, a subtype first discovered in 2004.
What kind of bed should you choose for your dog or cat? Choosing the right bed for your pet is just as important as choosing the right bed for yourself.
Their high level of intelligence makes training the Maltipoo a snap. This designer breed loves to be held, cuddled and kissed. They are extremely loyal to their family and love to be part of the action, playing with kids and other dogs, large or small. Because of their loving nature, they make excellent therapy dogs.
