Later he engineered a redundancy payment and spent a very worthwhile year studying for an MBA at Durham Business School. A brief period with furniture retailer ended one week after his fortieth birthday, when he decided to set about the process of building his own business. Chris sums this up: “My corporate career has given me the benefit of working regularly with the shop floor, the CEO and all levels in between. Consequently I’ve seen and experienced most aspects of running a business. I’ve worked for profitable businesses, businesses that were reinventing themselves, green-field start-ups, fun businesses, oppressive businesses and businesses in real financial trouble. I’ve “been around the block”, seen and taken some hard knocks, but also shared in the thrill of success.” Chris’s style is orientated toward getting his clients to take action that will transform performance. Therefore whilst helping you to find your own solutions and draw your own conclusions, Chris will collaboratively introduce his own experience and perspectives all with the aim of making significant progress as quickly as possible. Chris is values driven and his values include integrity, maximise, learning, impact, stretch and simplicity.
