As a Yoga teacher, I've met many people who say things like, "I'd like to try Yoga but I'm not very flexible." Maybe they think Yoga is only for people who are very limber and can twist themselves into pretzel-like positions. Or they think you must be able to do the poses perfectly – whatever perfect is – to even try Yoga.
We need fat in the diet. Fat is a necessary nutrient that we cannot live without. It helps the body use vitamins A, D, E and K. Fat is necessary for healthy skin and body organs. It also helps you to feel full after eating. After a low fat meal, you will be hungrier sooner.
The three weakest links in the body are the neck, knees and back. If any of these three parts are out of commission, you know it. Your whole day is affected. With winter on its way and snow shoveling just around the corner, you must be extra careful with your back.
It's strange but true: You have to eat to lose weight. Have you been on a diet and lost weight and then gained back weight when you went off the diet? Restricting calories to lose weight too fast can make you irritable, unhappy and depressed not to mention hungry all the time. But the truth is if you want to lose weight, you have to eat!
