Let's just suppose you need to buy 20 gifts. If you buy one gift per week starting June 25th, you will be done shopping three weeks before Christmas and can use that time for last minute gifts, co-workers Christmas gifts, party planning and decorating your home. You have time to put more thought and creativity into each gift. That's a real advantage. After all, when the holiday arrive, you want to present gifts that are classy and thoughtful. This will make you look good.
That song keeps singing in my head. Rod's Stewart's, "Every Picture Tells A Story". After thinking about those words and how they spoke to me I realized how precious our photos are and how they effect our lives is much bigger than we know. Then I had to ask myself, "what would life be without them?"
Have you noticed lately that every woman on the planet carries a tote bag? Why? What does she need that big bag for? Do we really want to know?
The day after my Birthday last year, my husband gave me a vacuum cleaner. Yes, you read that right. What was more shocking to you? The fact that the gift was a vacuum cleaner or that it was given the day after my Birthday?
I mean really. Mine was almost forty years ago and I remember it fairly well. Okay, parts of it fairly well. Lets be honest. I don't remember that much of it at all. What I do remember is the feeling of accomplishment that overwhelmed me. And of course, that ever so famous song known as "The Graduation March.
