I recently attended A Digital Future event, with a strong focus on channel integration and the digital sphere I took several observations which directly relate to IT service providers and the issues they often face online in increasing traffic to conversions. Regardless of the size of company the same issues come up time and time again, how do we engage with the ‘right' people, why are there so many people on my site not engaging and how do I turn all those site visitors into sales!
When some part of your network fails such as a server or your broadband connection, the first and perhaps most significant impact to any business is normally your email. A few minutes without email may be manageable but what about a few hours or a few days?
Allowing unwanted email to reach your organisation goes beyond the issue of hindering productivity. There are now laws on both sides of the Atlantic to expose employers to charges of liability and harassment.
Selling SaaS can prove a challenge to businesses due to the service nature of the offering. All services can represent marketing challenges for organisations given their intangible nature. The average consumer is much more market savvy and the core service offering supplied by the business is now not enough.
Social networks are becoming an addiction for many people and this need to stay up to date with friends and family via social network platforms is spilling more and more into office hours. So what does this mean for office place productivity? One guess! However blocking these sites outright is rarely the best solution and it can often cause nothing but resentment and disgruntled employees and then where's your productivity!
Many people simply assume that bullying is an unpleasant experience reserved for the playground. Unfortunately though, this is not the case. Recent reports have found that there are no age-limits or physical confines that exempt you from becoming a victim. The problem is that the older you get the more resilient your expected to be, so often a message that someone finds hilarious can be highly offensive to someone else depending on a number of facets such as gender, race, religion, class and so
Software as a service (SaaS), sometimes referred to as "software on demand," is software that is deployed over the internet and/or is deployed to run behind a firewall on a local area network or personal computer. With SaaS, a provider licenses an application to customers as a service on demand; through a subscription or a "pay-as-you-go" model.
There is much debate in current theory over how appropriate it is for social media to be implemented in the recruitment processes of universities. Many argue that it's a dangerous step given the additional management and time required to control the messages and opinions that are expressed. However, it cannot be denied that the social media sphere is where the majority of a university's target audience hang out and so it would be idiotic to ignore the obvious potential
It's ONLY 49days, 15hours and 34mins to Christmas!!! The pandemonium is descending! Love it or hate it, the festive season is very hard to avoid particularly if you intend doing any sort of shopping. It's a retailers dream Christmas, a huge percentage of the population all buying mindlessly at once If you've opted to avoid the madness of the shops and opted for the peace of shopping online, then take note and don't risk online security forcing you to adopt a bah humbug opinion of the season!
Partnerships come in all formats from friendships to relationships to business movers and shakers. Many of the great names in entertainment too came in pairs and where the better for it; think Abbott and Costello, Bonnie and Clyde, the Two Ronnie's, Laurel and Hardy, Fred and Ginger and batman and robin just to name a few. Then if we dive into the world of music, who can imagine Simon without Garfunkel or Sonny without Cher… I got you babe!...
