I have an antique brass telescope. what would you recommend on how to clean and to help it slide easier

A:There are 2 easy home products you can use for cleaning brass or any other metal.

The first is standard toothpaste (not the gel type). You can use a cloth or toothbrush to apply, rub, and clean. Rinse with water and dry.

The second is regular vinegar (5%). Rub it on, let stand a minute or so, and buff dry.

After cleaning you can use a light coat of olive oil to keep it looking clean and also help slide easier.

What are the risk of a variable rate loan?

A:With a variable rate loan the actual rate you are being charged can fluctuate annually so it is difficult to plan ahead when you never know for sure what the rate is going to be. I use my truck for work with a company that gives me a gas/fuel card. Can I write off my mileage and repair expenses on my taxes. I have a kept a good log off my info

A:You can only write off the gas if the company actually pays you for the gas you use. The use of a fuel card would indicate that the comany is NOT paying you for the gas. All your work mileage can be written off but only if you reduce it by the amount of gas they paid for. And repairs can be written off but only by the percentage of miles that were used for work. Sometimes it's better to just take the standard deduction than try to itemize these things.
