    Film Review: 'the Diving Bell and the Butterfly'

    Julian Schnabel/France, based on a true story, directs this film. JD Bauby, the editor of French Vogue suffered a stroke and the film starts as he comes out of a coma after 20 days. He was diagnosed with a rare 'locked in syndrome', which left him with his memory and only the movement of his left eye. With the help of the speech therapist, through the alphabet of blinking, he tells his story which became a best sellerThough this is a painfully slow process, the director has succeeded in maintaining the audience's attention to the very end.     Day at the Races

    It was a glorious afternoon that day in South Yorkshire. I drove across the racecourse roundabout and realized why it took me an hour for the journey instead of the usual ten minutes! The race was on and the horses crossing the road caused the traffic jam. The clock tower stood whispering in the gentle breeze and the atmosphere was electric; there were people everywhere, shouting, screaming and talking in a language that was alien to me; it was my first day at the races!     Yoga, According to Swami Ramdev

    Swami Ramdev can solely take the credit for changing the image of yog and its practice. In other words, this is Yog, according to Swami Ramdev!     Endometriosis: Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

    Endometriosis is defined as the presence of tissue that resembles endometrium, that normally lines the inside of the uterus, in sites outside the uterine cavity - the ovaries, utero-sacral ligaments, pelvic structures, lower genital tract, lymph nodes, laparotomy scars, lungs or umbilicus. It is called Adenomyosis when the endometrial stroma is found in the uterine muscle. Endometrioid carcinoma is diagnosed when endometriosis and ovarian cancer exist together.     Self-realisation Through Emotional Restraint

    Self-realisation by restraining ones own emotions can be achieved in many ways. One has to come to terms with the three faculties of man: emotion, speech - words, and deeds. The combination of all three, or the implementation any of these will help us in obtaining our goal. The three faculties working in harmony can only result in the desired effect; once this is attained, accepting the others or their viewpoints become easy, lack of which could explain the escalating troubles all over the world.     Women of Today: the 'new Superpower'

    Today's women are learning to avoid situations that make them stressful and it is a hard struggle to reach that goal. She has found music, yoga, aerobics, swimming, aromatherapy, massage and hypnotherapy that gives her the ‘quality time' amidst the multitude of chores!
