![]() Gita Saraydarian is the Founder and President of TSG Foundation and TSG University. She is the daughter of Torkom Saraydarian. Gita is a teacher and lecturer on the Ageless Wisdom Teachings and has established a worldwide audience as a creative educator for progressive ideas, transformation, and goodwill. TSG has offices in London, USA, Germany and Peru. Gita writes a popular blog on diverse topics showing how to understand contemporary life issues through the application of the Wisdom Teachings
Inspired by her love of the spiritual Teachings, Gita founded TSG Foundation in 1987 for the purpose of publishing Torkom’s books. With time, the Foundation took on additional responsibilities for distribution, teaching, and archiving the entire collection of Torkom’s works. Her goal is first to create a beautiful center of spiritual education where students of all nationalities and religious affiliations can gather and transform themselves into being deeper and more thoughtful individuals. The second part of her goal is to support that transformative process by making available all the materials created and provided by Torkom Saraydarian in perpetuity.
A new research library has been established with Torkom’s library and archival collection. She has expanded the work of TSG University by adding new courses and advanced curriculum and by providing spiritual training and meditation classes to students both on site and online.
Basic Philosophy -
Asked what motivates her to dedicate her life to the pursuit of creating such an organization, she said:
\"I love people and I love the creative fire present in each human being. I am also a huge advocate of service. Everyone needs to serve and to give. Service is the only way that we balance ourselves. By putting our education into practical application, we will grow and deepen our understanding and, in the meantime, we will be able to help others to realize their potentials.
“I am also very deeply concerned about the hatred and separatism that permeates all sectors of life on earth. People commit outrageous acts of violence, hatred, and separatism toward other human beings. When we see these acts, we can easily lose our joy and hope for the future. We are seeing the desperate conditions of human beings both in the so-called advanced as well as in undeveloped societies. Basic human needs of nutrition, health, education, and security are lacking for millions of human beings. It seems that the worst culprits are those who use power and religion to dominate and infringe on others.
“But, something is slowly changing, and that is the consciousness of humanity. We see in the last 100 years a new expectancy for a new definition of human rights and human needs. We now expect people to do good — philanthropy has increased in an unprecedented degree by individuals and organization; we expect nations to care for the welfare of others; we expect human beings to demonstrate fair play and tolerance; we expect people to care for children and their welfare and basic needs; we expect people to care for the environment; we even expect people to care for animals and their rights! Imagine that! 50 years ago people would have thought you were crazy for advocating environmental concerns, or the rights of children and the rights of animals. Although this is far from being the norm for nations, it is expected from increasingly vocal groups and leaders. Our foundational belief systems are changing; they are becoming more and more inclusive and global.
“How to address these real issues in the light of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings? How can we understand and practice spiritual principles when so much of the world is caught up in spiritual materialism?
“One way is to give up and succumb to a depressed state of mind. Another is to look for the one person to rescue the world. There is another way to approach life and all its challenges and that is through the thorough understanding of the greater principles and laws of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings. Human beings can be empowered by learning about the Teaching. These Teachings explain all of life from the perspective of the real evolutionary development of the physical, emotional, and mental, and spiritual aspects of human beings. Evolutionary development is not just the physical development and progress; it is also on all parts of the human being and society, which includes the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
“The Ageless Wisdom provides the foundation upon which creative and joyful living can be based. It describes the laws of nature that apply to all of life. For example, there is the Law of Karma or the law of cause and effect. This means that whatever you sow you will reap. This is simple but we do not understand it in its totality. It means that whatever you do in your life, you have to answer to the consequences of your actions or inactions. This applies to individuals as well as to groups and nations.
“When we add to this basic law the Teaching of Reincarnation, then we see an even more complex dynamic. Whatever we do, in any lifetime, we will reap its results in one of our lifetimes. There is no escape. How can there be? The law works regardless of whether or not we believe in it. That should give all of us time to pause and take a careful look at our life!
“A third pillar of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings is the role that Higher Principles and Laws play in life. These are laws of behaviour, communication, standards that humanity adheres to. These are not just ideas of “pink and fuzzy” fanatics! Every human being wants to address the rights that he or she needs to live a decent life. These rights are exactly derived from Higher Principles and Laws. These condition the field that we can call Right Human Relations. If we want right human relations, starting with our family members and on to the larger body of humanity, then we must individually and as aggregates of individuals, adhere to the laws and principles on which life operates.
“Laws operate whether we agree to them or not. If we break the laws of nature, nature records our behaviour in the most sophisticated way we can ever imagine. Whatever you do on your computer has a permanent record in your hard drive. Nature also has a “super hard drive” and the recordings are kept for all of our lifetimes. The only way they get removed is when we heal the wounds that our actions or inactions caused.
“To me the Wisdom Teachings are not separate from daily life but an integral part of it. My philosophy is that each of us has a tremendous capacity for greatness, yet we chain ourselves to a mediocre existence through frozen ethnic, religious, national, social, family, and personal mind sets. We look at life and say that is the way it was always done, and we continue on the same path. But a look at the major changes that occur in humanity shows us that change happened slowly and percolated from the very few, or even one, hero or heroine, who dared to think and write and create in ways that were not acceptable to the society of their times. Slowly, these ideas grew and more and more people began to understand them and the entire society slowly changed as a result. Our human history is full of such great men and women who dare to express their inspired understandings and bring upliftment to all of life.
“We can use all that we are and all the potentials hidden in us to be great human beings with unlimited creative expression. Using the guidelines of the Ageless Wisdom, we can truly fulfil our destiny to become souls and be instruments of Divine Love, Divine Light, and Divine Service. I would like to do my part in helping people find the joy in life and that is why I am totally dedicated to the Wisdom Teachings.\"

Universal Invocation of EnlightenmentI came across a beautiful book by W. J. Colville today and was moved by the beauty of the invocation printed at the end of it. We have been sorting my father’s library and here was this wonderful book beckoning me to read it!
There is so much ugliness and name calling in the US and in many parts of the world today, especially in the religious and political areas. We can easily get caught up in it and feel that nothing good ever comes out of political or religious dialogue. These two areas of Invisible Helpers and World DisastersInvisible Helpers and World Disasters - During the month of May 2008, we have witnessed a staggering level of human loss and suffering. Volcanic eruptions in Chile, cyclones in Burma, earthquake in China; continued starvations and abuses in Darfur…people living in abject poverty and dying … and the suffering continues every day, all day, in the physical world as well as the subtle worlds. Let Go of the Tiger’s Tail!Sometimes we get overwhelmed and emotionally distraught; we get caught up in the minutia of our daily lives and this can become overwhelming. We miss the big picture and feel suffocated under the weight of the daily challenges. The emotional world is filled with fears, anxiety, worries, personal-family-world issues, all exacerbated with thoughts about not measuring up and wanting to be perfect and so on that add to the extreme fear and worry that we feel. A Man of Unity and Healing: Barak Obama on “a More Perfect Union”Barak Obama’s speech on March 18th, 2008 will go down in history as one of the great speeches given in our time. I highly recommend hearing it or reading the text. His spiritual maturity is a shining light Wesak – a Celebration of Buddha and Christ?BBC’s Religion and Ethics page writes “Wesak is the most important of the Buddhist festivals and is celebrated on the full moon in May. It celebrates the Buddha's birthday, and, for some Buddhists, also marks his birth and death.” A Pathway for Self-transformationThe purpose of a human being is to find the most essential and eternal values and live by them; it is to become an instrument of Divine Love, Divine Intelligence, and Divine Will. In Esoteric Literature the Word “christ” Has Five Different DefinitionsWhat is the Cosmic Christ? “It is the Soul of the Universe, the link or the relation between matter and spirit, and the redemptive energy, which leads the life, sleeping in matter, toward glorious heights of endless unfoldment…. Eight Spiritual LawsThere are many spiritual laws that have been given to humanity to help individuals and communities elevate themselves above the material existence and live a more conscious and virtuous life. For example the Ten Commandments are spiritual laws. Five Spiritual Empowering PrinciplesThe Ageless Wisdom Teachings provide fundamental ideas that empower us. When we meditate upon these ideas and live our life according to them, we are filled with hope and optimism for the future. Agni Yoga Teachings“Walking” with someone else lessens the burden of our life. Imagine walking through shrubbery and low branches of trees and holding the branch down as your friend passes. Imagine stopping for a while when you notice your friend needs a break. Imagine offering water and a handful of trail mix before you take any yourself.
