Ian R McAllister spent 22 years in the international telecommunications industry, working his way up from and apprentice in Gloucestershire through a Masters degree in Wales. Returning to corporate life in 1990, he spent two years in Birmingham, and from 1992 onwards based in Kent working on a series of high profile international projects covering Europe, North America and Asia; in partnership with MCI, AT&T and Japan Telecom After gaining an MBA, he spent four years in corporate cost reduction, before being asked to return to the telecoms industry as a recruiter.
