As spiritual human beings we are never ever alone, especially during our most trying times. God is always with us. This poem was originally written by Mary Stevenson in 1936 when she was just a little girl. Amazing how the right stories just find their way into our lives if we as human beings carry the vision of God's will into our lives!

Expressing feelings and the ability to be aware of and express one's feelings is an important emotional foundation. Often merely recognizing and expressing a feeling is enough to lessen it, control it, accept it, or shift one's attention away from it. The creative aspect of expressing a feeling is to tune in to exactly how the feeling "wants" to come through. Expressing a feeling is just another strategy to avoid the experience of feeling it directly.

Greed is not good and it is a plague that can be found in almost any culture or society on this earth, but can it be cured? A quote by Albert Einstein about greed; "Three great forces rule the world: stupidity, fear and greed."

"For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy." (Proverbs 2:10) "Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose speech is corrupt." (Proverbs 2:12) "Don't turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you. Love her, and she will guard you." (Proverbs 4:6) "If you prize wisdom, she will exalt you. Embrace her and she will honor you." (Proverbs 4:8)

Saint Francis was born in the small town of Assisi, Italy, in the year 1182, a town 90 miles north of Rome. The story of his life is both fascinating and inspiring, and who lived in simplicity and poverty; a passion for the Gospel and Jesus Christ. A story of holiness and love of God; Saint Francis gave up his own self to become a "Mirror of Christ."

Living life on life's terms is accepting life or reality as the way it is and dealing with life and the past as best a person can even though there are many disagreeable events and realities that one wishes were different, and not running and hiding behind drugs or alcohol.

Meals on Wheels started in Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley in February 1969 by Kiwasa. A dedicated group of women; the wives of the Kiwanis membership created this needed service, and for 31 years their mission was to provide hot, nourishing meals and to promote independence and self-sufficiency with dignity, respect and compassion to people in need in Kelowna and the Okanagan Valley.

"Meals on Wheels" is an honorable service. It was in World War II and during "The Blitz" which was the sustained bombing of Great Britain by Nazi Germany between September 1940 and May 1941 that "Meals on Wheels" was born.

La esperanza espiritual que tenemos disponible para nosotros en Jesucristo supera el concepto de todas las esperanzas mundanas que son una combinación de expectativas y deseos o mera ilusión. La esperanza, don de Dios, Dios de la Esperanza.
