Anyone that watches the news in this day and age has to be aware the the world that we all live in is a far more dangerous place than it used to be. Places that used to be popular vacation destinations, such as Lebanon and Indonesia are now havens for terrorists and radicals but one thing hasn't changed and that is that businesses around the globe continue to function.

Even prior to the events of 911 Americans had been given dire warnings by certain government agencies assigned the task of protecting the public, that a new era was coming. Terrorism had been spiking up in countries that the U.S. was allied with and new trends in globalism meant that the U.S was no longer isolated by the two oceans on either side of it.

It is the middle of a normal workday and a commuter train somewhere in Europe is packed with simple working people anxious to get home to their families. Stinking of curry, he clutches his travel bag as he waits for just the right moment.

It is true that that it is a new and ever changing world that we are all now living in. As each new job in the work place is phased out, a new one somewhere is phased in and this is why, while so many career people across the U.S. are suffering, many are in fact prospering.

While it is stability that most businesses strive for, in these new changing times, what they are finding more often than not is change that they have to contend with. How they deal with the change that they find themselves straddled with can have a major impact on whether or not they continue to operate profitably.

We have all heard the argument. The 911 disaster was actually in response to certain things that the U.S. was doing overseas in other countries. That somehow, America deserved to have their building blown up, because the U.S. was directly, or indirectly connected to buildings in other countries exploding. Is there any merit to these arguments, or is it as so many others say, that terrorists are actually jealous of the many freedoms that American enjoy.
