Mistakes can be positives for all of us. I have discovered with my own children that they actually like it when I make mistakes. I think this is because it makes them feel like I am human too. After all, if they have to work on growing up, why should I be afraid to keep doing it also?
It happened again. Wishing, wanting and lack strikes fast and furiously (Anybody out there know what I am talking about?) especially at holiday times...
Electrical power is one thing. Personal power can be even more important. Today, we cover one of the most difficult areas of struggle for individuals- dealing with what others say about us and to us.
Our hearts do get bigger as we add people to our lives. And in the same way, we want to support our children in having "big" hearts. We want to help them make room for all the people that may be in their life- other parent, stepparent, stepsiblings, half siblings, etc
A good sense of humor is vital to finding happiness in your stepfamily life. Why? Because with all the complications, you'll need some ways to make it okay. How? By trying to step away from it mentally and act like a third party just looking on. Laughter makes our problems more manageable. See it for the craziness that it sometimes is.
