Jennifer Vacchio - Articles

 (56) Author Ranking Blue
Jennifer Vacchio received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Journalism at The College of Mount Saint Vincent in 1994. During her senior year at college, and for the first year after graduation, Jennifer worked as an Assistant Investigator for The Special Commissioner of Investigations for New York City Schools. She went on from there to work in sales at Turner Broadcasting, to writing for a film and television trade publication to becoming a video producer and marketing professional. Ms. Vacchio first became interested in the sexual exploitation of children after viewing a Dateline special on NBC. She immediately took action and volunteered to travel to West Africa to shoot a documentary about baby rape in two villages in Ghana. The experience furthered her interest in this atrocious “industry” and it was in May of 2005 that Jennifer partnered with Jake Collins and April Martin of Tiny Stars, a volunteer network dedicated to fighting commercial sexual exploitation of children trafficked between U.S. borders and around the world. Using her writing and marketing skills, Jennifer has written various websites, brochures, and donation letters for organizations dedicated to helping abused children. Jennifer Vacchio is currently the Communications Manager at The Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University, where she also hopes to pursue a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling.
