Jim German resides in Evergreen, Colorado with his wife Sarah and their dogs and horses. He is a Lieutenant on the Elk Creek Fire Department and a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician. He is America\'s Urban and Rural Emergency Survival Expert holding many state certifications. A former yacht broker in Southern California for over 20 years, Jim has cruised extensively throughout Mexico and Central America, including a passage through the Panama Canal aboard his own 46\' ketch. Before returning to Colorado, Jim and Sarah lived, skied, and hiked the Eastern Sierras and Mammoth Lakes, California. He and Sarah own a website dedicated to helping people survive the first 72 hours after a disaster and live beyond.
