My name is Joe Clements. I was born in Georgia and raised in Southern California. After working in San Bernardino for many years, I move to the Bay Area. Now I live and work in Emeryville, across the bay from the beautiful city of San Francisco. I started learning the guitar when I was young and I am still learning. Each day brings another opportunity to learn more about the instrument I love. I have played rhythm and lead in a few bar bands. I never made much money but I had tons of fun. Now, I play for pleasure and try to help other aspiring guitarists as much as I can.

I have been playing guitar for a few years and would like to give the aspiring guitarist a few words of encouragement. There is so much useless hype online that it is impossible to make an informed decision as to which program to trust. I would like to say, however, that if I can do it, you can. So, please, do not give up.
I know how difficult it is to weed throught the hype that is encountered online. For a beginning guitarist, it is impossible to make a decision as to who to trust. I have been playing the guitar for several years and learned the hard way - without guitar lessons. I would like to give to the aspiring guitar players out there some crucial advice about issues that I experienced during my guitar education.
