First off, this movie could not have been more perfectly cast. Oscar winner (A Beautiful Mind) Russell Crowe plays the legendary icon Robin Hood with as much brazen gusto as his character Maximus in Gladiator. Cate Blanchett plays Maid Marion, William Hurt, who seems to be in everything these days, plays William Marshall, the Earl of Pembroke. Mark Addy is Friar Tuck, Matthew MacFadyen is the Sheriff of Nottingham and Kevin Durand is Little John.
