He attended schools in London , Jerusalem , Boston , Louisiana , and Texas. He attended dental school at Hebrew University in Jerusalem , Israel where he received his D.M.D. degree. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and was awarded the Student Award for Excellence in restorative dentistry. He completed his specialty in Prosthodontics at Louisiana State University in New Orleans . During the same time, Dr. Penchas earned his Masters degree in Education at The University of New Orleans. In Houston , Texas he then completed a fellowship in Dental Oncology (cancer dentistry), and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center . Dr. Penchas served as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Texas in 1995 through 1996.
