Sky Lanterns can be referred to as one of the wonders of the modern world. There is nothing quite like it in terms of the magical and splendid look they give whenever they are used. When lit at night, they can be referred to as man made stars in that they are not natural like the real stars yet they light up the skies at night wherever they are deployed.
Today Sky lanterns are everywhere, they are very popular today especially seen in ceremonies, anniversaries and monumental events. Most of the time, they are embraced because of their enchanting beauty and radiance hence they are an easy option in lighting up events. Several years ago, this was not the reason of their use, different people groups had their beliefs and superstitions as to what these lanterns meant or what their presence signified.
Sky lanterns are event wonder workers. When they are lit, they can single handedly lighten up a boring party with their sheer beauty and splendour causing all guests or visitors to be subjected and engulfed in the radiance and magnificence they exude. They have become a major side attraction in parties and events. However, it always is necessary to ensure that if they are to be utilised in these parties, adult supervision is available.
Everyone wants to make their wedding ceremonies unique and special. This is because most times, weddings are meant to be a once in a life time event. I attended a wedding recently and while in the course of the celebrations, sky lanterns were released into the skies; it was such a sight and in that beautiful and love filled environment, everybody both adults and children were spellbound by the splendor.
I've never met anyone who doesn't like Sky Lanterns. Everywhere they are used, they offer the same beautiful and enchanting effect to all. Children are not left out. In fact in some of the Chinese festivals where these lanterns originated from, children are the ones who bear these lanterns. Displaying them and performing whatever traditional ritual such festivals call for.
