Adelphi University received a grant from the National Science Foundation to create a science teacher education program for undergraduate students and career changers. The program offers graduate level coursework, and classroom and field experiences, in addition to a substantial stipend.
Dr. Laraine Fletcher and her co-director Dr. George Scheper have been awarded a grant that will fund a Summer Institute entitled, "Mesoamerica and the Southwest: A New History for an Ancient Land," is scheduled from June 17 to July 23, 2012.
