Spectrum Analyzers generally are test equipment that you can use to measure waveforms based on their spectral composition. The name spectrum analyzer is used to refer to the spectral analyzer instrument which is employed to measure a waveform spectrum – that applies to the waveforms of the optical waveform, the acoustic waveform, and the electrical waveform. At times, the spectrum analyzer might also be used to gauge the power spectrum.

What are used test equipment? Basically these are the electronic test equipment that have already been used by other technicians in the past. Electronic test equipment might sometimes be dubbed “testgear” and are used to determine whether certain electronic DUTs (Devices Under Test) are malfunctioning or still in working condition.

Electrical networks can be measured and assessed using the electrical network analyser. Of special interest when using this network analyser are the electrical networks’ properties that pertain to reflection of electrical signals and subsequent transmission – these are called the S-parameters or scattering parameters. The usual operating frequencies of this network analyser start at nine kilohertz and reach up to 110 gigahertz.
