As a type 2 Diabetic whose vision has been compromised, Linda is unable to work outside the home, but she acted as General Contractor for building their retirement home. She hired and paid subcontractors, was overseer of all construction work (with the help of her husband, RL), and did most of this from her “armchair,”. her computer, and her telephone.     Water Resistant Green-board Used inBuilding Bathrooms Today

    In building bathrooms today, green-board is used instead of regular wallboard because of its' water retention ability. It is used in high water areas of the home to help prevent possibility of rot caused by leaks that go undetected. This article also discusses the use of cement board which is used for tile around those water areas. Because cement board does not bend, tile is placed on cement board.
