Water Resistant Green-board Used inBuilding Bathrooms TodayIn building bathrooms today, green-board is used instead of regular wallboard because of its' water retention ability. It is used in high water areas of the home to help prevent possibility of rot caused by leaks that go undetected. This article also discusses the use of cement board which is used for tile around those water areas. Because cement board does not bend, tile is placed on cement board. Consequently, tile must be sealed along grout lines to prevent leakage.
