A native of New Jersey, Lisa attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degrees in Sociology and Administration of Justice. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to Atlanta where she practiced law in the areas of bankruptcy and environmental litigation for a number of years before moving into academia. Born with an irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit and zeal for nontraditional teaching strategies, Lisa founded Marigold Consulting in 2006. The firm offers personal growth classes, professional development workshops, corporate training seminars, and curriculum development services. Borrowing from her own experiences in the classroom, Lisa specifically designed the class sessions to be highly interactive and practical. Lisa incorporates methods involving visual learning, auditory learning, and hands-on learning to suit multiple adult learning styles. Lisa has worked with groups of all sizes in several different industries, including not-for-profit entities. Attendees of her sessions have attested that her sessions are infused with energy, creativity, and valuable information. A few of her clients include Emory University, The University of Georgia, Gate City Bar Association, and the United States Army. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys volunteering in the community, playing competitive sports, reading African-American fiction, and playing Scrabble. You can also find her glued to the nearest television when her favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, is playing. An active member of Salem Bible Church for over ten years, Lisa resides outside Atlanta, GA in South Fulton County.
