In 2008 a urologist from Italy (who happened to love high heels herself) conducted research into how wearing high heels affected body posture.
In her study of 66 women who were all aged under 60 years old, Dr Maria Cerruto found that women who wore high heeled shoes (with a two inch heel) had posture that was equally as good as women wearing flat shoes.
