Son visage est en train de changer… Fanfaronnante encore voici quelques mois, elle affiche à présent le faciès des jours sombres et les paillettes se sont envolées. La belle citadine est morose, ses rues se vident et l’ambiance est au gris. Le glitz des dernières années est démodé et l’impudeur de mauvais gout.

Turning 40 does not mean suddenly becoming old fashioned and frumpy. On the contrary…nowadays the 40’s are the old 30’s!

No better time to look sexy than when wearing a clever little black number! No need to think you have to bare it all or reveal too much… You can find the right dress, which will see you through all sorts of parties… But beware, and take it from a French woman: sexy does not mean vulgar! Nothing worse than vulgarity!

Je vis dans une ville où “Money Money Money” est le diesel de la machine humaine… Qui plus est, je suis liée par les liens du mariage au monde économique depuis 16 ans et j’habite dans un quartier affectionné par les banquiers et économistes de tous bords de par la fonctionnalité du lieu. J’ai fréquenté quelques temps la grisaille de la City, assisté à des soirées et évènements organisés par les banques et bâillé en silence à la droite d’un ou deux hommes de la finance d’un autre siècle!

The stars do not know what do to attract attention…they are now parading in the People magazines armed with their new fashion accessory, a baby adopted from overseas. Their latest mascot comes from Asia or Africa and appears from nowhere one day, as if plucked from a supermarket shelf… From Hollywood to London via Paris, our idols are going one step further and proudly showing off by flaunting their « humanitarian » action on the front page of the gossip magazines found in hairdressers’ salons.

Christmas is suddenly around the corner and, despite the credit blues, most of us are going to try to provide our loved ones with the perfect gift, whilst at the same time respecting an individual budget. Women always find it easier to buy their man a present than the other way around, although actually the choice of presents for us ladies is endless. Let me give the gentleman, a few ideas, whilst respecting the style personality of the special woman in his life!

I am a great fan of jeans…they are so versatile, and can be dressed up or down according to the occasion or one’s personality. I find that they are the number one item of clothing to cater for the British weather, so changeable. You can practically wear them for any occasion, apart, of course, in a formal work environment or a smart evening event. Nowadays, they come in all styles, shapes, colours and some designers add a creative touch to make them even more special.
