What you eat and drink during your pregnancy is extremely important for a number of reasons. First of all, you have a growing fetus inside you which is depending on you and you alone for healthy nourishment. Eat foods from all five food groups (fruits, veggies, whole grains/carbohydrates, protein, and fat). Now is not the time to go on Atkin’s or skimp out on portions. It wouldn’t be a pregnancy without your requisite amount of ice cream out o the tub, but switching to frozen yogurt will do wonders for your postpartum waistline.
