There is a Sprint PCS Connection Card driver for each supported Windows operating system. Unless the appropriate driver for your version of Windows is installed, you will not be able to establish a network connection with the card. One of the benefits of EVDO and other cellular technologies is the ability to roam seamlessly between connection points. An EVDO connection should keep you connected to the Internet even if you are traveling in a car. The V640 is only for use with Verizon Wireless’ BroadbandAccess service and enables owners of notebooks with ExpressCard/34 (and ExpressCard/54) slots to wirelessly connect to the Internet at broadband speeds via Verizon Wireless’ national high-speed 3G Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) network.
