    The Virgins and Mgmt

    MGMT and their album Oracular Spectacular have been making waves of both sides of the Atlantic. The band are a part of the new wave of American talent that has been crossing the pond. NME selected them in their Ten Artists to Watch in 2008 and the BBC placed them 9th in their Sound poll.     Carbon Silicon and Spandau's Gary Kemp!

    Visa problems seems to have led to the collaboration of Gary Kemp, of Spandau Ballet fame and Carbon Silicon. Carbon Silicon's two Canadian shows were unfortunately cancelled at the last minute to due bass player Leo 'Eezykill' Williams having being refused entry to the country. Despite them allowing former Clash guitarist Mick Jones and, Generation X's Tony James along with drummer Dominic Greensmith, it was clear the gigs couldn't go ahead.
