When you are a new guitar player learning how to read music, you might feel overwhelmed when trying to name each individual note and play it. Is it possible to play country and rock and roll guitar with hsh pickup config. on a solid body guitar tnx

A:Yes, absolutely. I use the same pickup configuration on all my guitars because of the versatility it gives. What really defines the style is the notes and rhythms you play. And certainly with modeling amps and such now, you can get just about any sound you need.

I intend to enroll my two daughters in guitar class. What is the preference?Pop guitar or classical guitar?

A:As a long time guitar teacher, I would suggest letting your daughters pick. Unless they have an interest in classical music, they'll probably opt for pop guitar. It will keep them interested and give them the same basic skills.

If they choose to, they can later move into classical guitar styles and the techniques that go with it.
