There is such a variety of useful and fun software and applications out there that we enjoy and utilize daily on both our personal and business computers. However, so much more than the program itself comes with the programs we download and install. Aside from the necessary files needed to keep said programs running, temporary files are brought along with them, and oftentimes remain stored on our computers, creating clutter and a takeover of space that can slow a computer's performance.

Disposing of old hard drives is easy enough to do, plenty of places will take them for free, and many are placed in machines for resale, or charity machines that go to the poor. However, there is a problem with sending off a hard drive to be recycled. You can delete the data, and send it to the recycle bin; however the data will still be there, hidden away, even after you empty it.
