I am Ph.D Scholar in Mother Terasa Women's University, Kodaikanal.I have full involvement in Sarva Shiksha Abiyan (SSA) and so I have taken innovative steps to increase the retention rate of students and found success in my Endeavour. By conducting motivation and bridge course classes, by introducing new methods along with ALM teaching and by encouraging the Residential students from rural areas I have increased my strength of the schools in leaps and bounds from 600 to 2400.I have been the District commissioner in Bharat Scouts and Guides for the past 5 years till date. I am a life time member in Kamban Kalagam. I have been the guest lecturer for Bank Selection Recruitment Board, Staff Selection Commission and The Tamilnadu Public Service Commission for 12 years. I am conducting free coaching classes for Scheduled Caste Students arranged by the National Empolyment Service , Government of Tamilnadu since 1988 till date. I have participated in Inservice training programmes , Workshops like AIDS Awareness and Women’s Empowerment. I have been Awarded Dr. RADHAKRISHNAN BEST TEACHER AWARD IN 2007 and State Star Award in Bharat Scouts and Guides by the Tamilnadu Government. I hope the papers that had been presented by me would stir the intellect of the Rural Women students in particular.
