2011 Nissan Juke Review from Boston Nissan

Posted: Dec 28, 2010 |

The 2011 Nissan Juke is a condensed size crossover available at Boston Nissan. It's identifying feature is the curvey exterior and the "attitude" it appears to have. The Nissan Juke is a blend of compact hatchback and small sized SUV. Nissan calls the Juke a "sport cross" rather than a crossover, hoping to distinguish itself from the Nissan Versa, Honda Fit or Nissan Rogue.

Nissan's 2011 Juke has seating for five passengers, four doors, and a hatchback. The appearance of the car makes you look ready for the mean city streets rather than a family headed to Walmart for the weekly groceries! The cargo area offers 10.6 cubic feet of luggage space – which is actually less than the space available in some compact cars. The rear seat has a 60/40 split and can fold down to give you 35.9 cubic feet of space at the cost of losing some passenger seating.

The Juke is available in three models, allw ith 17-inch alloy wheels. The SL has standard fog lamps, while the S and midlevel SV models do not. The interior of all three models features a simple and attractive instrument panel. The S model has plain cloth seats, while the SV has cloth upholstery with a suede-like finish. The SL has leather seats.

Nissan Juke has one engine. It's rated with 188 horsepower, 177 pound-feet of torque, and with a 1.6 liter turbocharged direct injection four cylinder. The S model is available as variable automatic transmission only, which performs like an automatic but delivers power like a manual transmission. The SV and SL Juke models are available with your choice of six-speed manual transmission or the continuously variable automatic transmission.

Thinking about cars brings to mind parts like the engine, brakes and radiators as these are indispensible for proper functioning of the vehicle. But there is another important part which deserves mention and that is the windshield. Irrespective of whether it is bought online or from local auto glass shops, a windshield is manufactured from a special glass which is different from the normal sheets.

Some people have always stayed away from compact cars because they are concerned about their safety. In a smaller car, if you're in an accident it seems there would be less room for the driver and passengers to remain safe inside the car. Boston Nissan vehicle experts assure customers that modern compact cars have a variety of upgraded safety systems that protect you as well as larger cars, including airbags, anti-theft and anti-lock braking systems.
