Best Practices to Selling a Financed Car
Author: khalid r mustaffa | Posted: 10-09-2007 | Comments: 0 | Views: 49 | Rating: (67) (?)
You initially financed the car that you are about to sell. If you are wondering about the steps you need to take in order to legally, and safely turn your car over, then you are reading the perfect article for this sake. Now, if the lean has been released, and you are the sole owner of the car, then reading this article would be additional information that you may not need, rather pass onto friends and family.
In case you still owe money on the car, then you need to start by contacting the lending bank or dealer to discuss the best way to pay off or close out the loan. You also should inquire about the necessary requirements to obtain a lien release, or a statement stating that the remaining obligations on the car if any and if not also stating that it has been paid off.
If you find out that you owe more money than you can pay prior to selling the car, consider mediator service that would facilitate payment to the lien holder during normal escrow. There are such services on the internet easily found using search engines, or visiting my website for an analysis of these services. If you are not able or not comfortable with the above mentioned methods, consider closing the sale deal at the bank, credit union, or the dealership that holds the lien, this way the buyer can payoff the balance, release the lien, and pay you the remaining agreed upon amount. Make sure you contact the lending entity prior to setting up such arrangement, and schedule and time and date.
The last and most complicated situation is when the lien holder is in a different state. In this case you would need to obtain a bill of sale from the local department of motor vehicles, and then obtain a temporary permit for the buyer to drive the car. Once the loan is paid off, the buyer can then transfer the title ownership. For more information about selling your car, check out the car selling checklist

Would you give up your 3 kids because your so-called friend told you to?
By: ~!Question Queen Pinto Bean!~ | 10-07-2008
Would you give up your 3 kids because your so-called friend told you to?My twin sister told my other sister about how her friend talked her into giving her kids away. Why did she even listen to that stupid girl when the girl didn't even graduate from high school?Yet, my twin sister hasn't spoken to me in like 9 mos. b/c of rumors my brother started about me. We're in our mid 20's, & he's 28. That girl is like 23, & she was dating my brother. These 2 were both feuding over this girl because my twin is a lesbian & left her husband for my brother's girlfriend. I know. Crazy & dysfunctional. But my trouble-making brother flipped his wrongdoings on me, & now my twin sister falsely accused me of creating drama, & I didn't know anything about what happened. But anyway I have a baby nephew who I never even got to meet, but this girl got to spend time with them. I am very hurt by this. I have my college degree, & I'm not a part of their feuds. It's not fair how my twin sister & him are on good terms, & there, he spread death rumors about her last week.

Secret Lover/Friend
By: MiamiTemp | 08-07-2008
I'm a 25 y/o female from Miami. I've been involved with a man romantically for a year and a half but nobody knows about our relationship. I can't go into detail about why we have to keep this a secret. He's not married or anything but if people found out then it could hurt his career, etc. I had known for a few years before we started anything sexual but had fallen for him way before that. When the opportunity presented itself I took it and things have been very hot with him since then. However, he has no idea how much I care about him. We were always friends, so I know he gets that much but I'm scared that if he found out that I was in love with him our relationship would change. It kills me not to be able to tell this guy that he's everything to me. I've had my share of relationships, whether it has been boyfriends, friends with benefits or whatever but this is completely throwing me off track in my life. I know he recently started seeing another woman, but the terms of our current relationship are strictly "friends with benefits" so I can't really say anything. The other woman has no idea that me and him have the type of sexual relationship that we do. She thinks we are just friends. I love having this secret, but at times it gets difficult. I get sad at times when I think that he is waking up next to her and not me. He'll swing by my house, we'll hook up and then he'll go over to her house for a movie. It sucks and I'm not quite sure how to handle it. I don't want it to end, I want him to know how I feel but I can't bring myself to tell him. Anyone got any words of wisdom?
