The managing director of carreg.co.uk, Jason Wilkes said, "Buy Now! Where available, the Carreg Buy Now service allows you to purchase selected auction items before the auction has finished. Your payment for the item is therefore immediate and non refundable unless the seller has removed the number from auction, in which case we will contact you.
"Auction Bidding by making a bid on an auction number, should you be the highest bidder at the end of the auction, you are legally required to purchase the registration."
He added, "Please note that the bidding price excludes any applicable Value Added Tax and the governments transfer fee to get it onto your vehicle. The total price to pay will always be visible before placing a bid or placing a Buy Now request"
