Chevrolet Cobalt, At Your Local Used Car Dealership

Its acceleration is impeccable, its remarkable stability and grip in every curve is pleasantly impressive, and the Chevrolet Cobalt is a winner in the world of used autos. The proven effectiveness of the engine putting out up to 205bhp (only available on the SS Supercharged model) with a just a 2.0L engine, making it a fuel efficient but powerful used auto.

The Cobalt can be defined as a real thoroughbred "Can Do" used vehicle, a description that fits because it has reached record speeds relative to other used vehicles in its class. With this model GM has done battle to recover the ground lost in this sector of small vehicles, which is a highly competitive area of the used vehicle market, which includes its well placed rivals Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Ford Focus used models.

The pre owned Chevrolet Cobalt is the second offensive line for a double attack on the market for small cars, and competes in the emerging segment of the used luxury compact. Most of the Chevrolet Cobalt sedans were manufactured in a format of basic equipment levels, used LS, LT and SS. The used coupé is more expressive version will come in base, LS, SS and SS Supercharged versions.

The used sedan has that air of elegance and simple optically sharp lines. In general, the performance and economy figures are very good, and the used Chevrolet Cobalt achieves that balanced output with some skill. The coupé was designed in a style that is not too different from current Cavalier two door, and carries taillights inspired by the design of the Corvette, though wisely avoiding the implementation of a comprehensive panel that is transparent as they did with the used Impala sedan to achieve a similar effect.

The Cobalt also offers used Sedan and Coupe versions with a total of eight levels of equipment, including a refined interior, Ecotec four-cylinder engines, based on the solid architecture from Delta. The Sedan offers a sophisticated look combined with a higher driving position for a better view of the road, making it a highly popular choice when buying a used car.

In regard to Coupe, based on the style of sedan from the A-pillar forward, the Cobalt Coupe reveals a reverse C-pillar, which directs the eye to the optical rounded rear, features common with used Chevrolet vehicles.

The ventilated disc brakes to the front with a single piston calipers and rear drum brakes are standard on composite basic models. In models LS, LT and SS, brakes with four-channel ABS are standard fixtures adding a lot of safety for a low price.

In SS models, disc brakes with ABS on four wheels, are standard, a used Cobalt also features improved electronic traction control. The Cobalt offers three Ecotec four-cylinder engines, inspired by their experience in racing, a proven automatic gearbox is available and two versions of their stick gearboxes.

The 2.2-liter Ecotec engine has an output estimated 140 hp and 204 Nm of torque. The combination of greater engine capacity and variable distribution technology, allows the Ecotec 2.4-liter, to offer one of the largest estimated torque, 231 Nm, that's a lot of push for a small economical used vehicle.

The engines of the 2.2 liter and 2.4 liter versions with (DOHC), have aluminum blocks and cylinder heads, valve lifters with rotary cam tracking, camshaft activated by chain, and so much more.
