Ferrari’s 60th Anniversary Highlighted by Challenge Season Opener

The Ferrari Festival, which coincides with the automaker’s 60th anniversary, is set to scorch the tracks and intensify the racing passing. The North American Ferrari Challenge Series 2007 season opener, which will be held at Miami's Homestead Speedway, will commence on the 9th and will end on the 11th of this month.

The Ferrari Challenge season opener will showcase some of the Italian automaker’s greatest achievements as it happens together with the brand’s U.S. kick-off of a global relay anniversary. The event will feature a special ceremonial lap with up to 60 chosen Ferrari vehicles driven by owners, along with demonstrations of the 800+ horsepower, limited edition, FXX supercar and various Formula One vehicles. The event will be open for the public to enjoy thrilling race and racing-related adventure.

"As we celebrate Ferrari's 60th anniversary, we reflect on not just our racing traditions, but those experiences that allow our owners and all Ferrari enthusiasts to share in the very same passion and excitement that our racing teams enjoy on a worldwide basis," said Maurizio Parlato, the President and CEO of Ferrari North America, Inc. "Tying into the tradition of our Challenge series from both a participant and spectator role allows all Ferrari fans to be inspired by the performance and passion that can only be Ferrari."

The Ferrari Challenge Series, on its 14th racing season in America, offers Ferrari owners who are not professional racers the chance to compete with each other in a highly competitive race at world-class venues throughout Canada and the United States. The said racing challenge is deemed the longest-running series of its type in North America.

Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the Italian sports car manufacturer, reflected true passion in auto racing. This passion is shared through various racing events sponsored by the automaker. The Ferrari Challenge is one of the numerous "exclusive" experiences that Ferrari offers its customers. Aside from the racing thrill, Ferrari owners could also enjoy dining in the lavish VIP hospitality tents, participating in weekend driving clinics, and socializing with those that share Ferrari gusto. The weekend festivals, in particular, deliver unique ambience and experience that are beyond compare. The general public, in general, could peruse the paddock areas, enjoy racing events, and be thrilled by the entirety of the festival. The Ferrari Challenge could keep the general public preoccupied that they could not even entertain the thoughts about Ford racing cold air intake or any other race parts and brands.

The Challenge Series is one of the many privileges Ferrari provides exclusively for its customers. Other Ferrari assets and experiences include the annual Ferrari Rally and Ferrari's North American Driving School in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Moreover, the company prolongs its commitment to offer extraordinary experiences where aficionados can enjoy their cars. The Challenge Series is organized by Ferrari North America, Inc., and sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association.
