Hamann Powers Up the Youngest 3-series Convertible

HAMANN has started the modifications of BMW’s youngest 3-series convertible. It has added aerodynamic kit, new wheels, power boost, suspension components and of course a stylish interior that further enhance the aesthetic sporty appeal of BMW’s youngest beauty.

To add power HAMANN has recalibrated the standard ECU giving the four-cylinder model 320i with an additional boost of 10hp/7kW and 10 Nm torque enough to enable it reach 233km/h. Aside from the 320i, the 325i and the 330i were also given power boost of 13hp/10kW and 17 hp/12kW respectively. Both were given 25Nm additional torque. Top speed was increased from 250 to 265 km/h.

And good news to speed trippers the price of the 330i include the deactivation of the 250km/h speed restriction. The 335i is also given extra power to reach an impressive top speed of 279km/h. HAMANN has also added a sport air filter to give the 6-cylinder model an easier breathing capabilities.

For the currently offered diesel model 330d buyers can expect added power of 272hp/200kW allowing the 330d to reach a top speed of 256km/h and 600Nm at 2000 rpm/min.

HAMANN has also equipped the 335i with 4-pipe sports rear muffler with four round tailpipes to convey power as well as to make the rear end of the convertible even more attractive.

The Body-Work
The body work of the 3-series convertible is beautifully tailored by BMW the producer of BMW 328ci parts but was further enhanced by HAMANN to provide customers with a more personalized look that reflects all the power enhancements done on the vehicle. A sportier front spoiler was added together with new side sills to give the side view more character. The combination of the buoyancy reducing rear spoiler with the new HAMANN rear center molding designed to complement the HAMANN 4-pipe sport muffler is one of the exterior highlights. And to round up the overall look of the 3-Series Convertible are addition of the black Carbon-Kevlar mirror caps.

Power Tires
A beautiful body-work deserves only the best tires and HAMANN has chosen three unique designs and three sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inch. For the Anniversary I, HAMANN has featured a single-piece rim in 18, 19, and 20 inches version offered in silver finish with an outer rim that has an INOX steel lip.

The PG3 wheel is a multiple five-spoke composite wheel in silver with a high-gloss polished rim lip and offered in sizes between 19 and 20 inches. But the 20 inch wheels suit the customized 3-Series Convertible better that’s why HAMANN offer it as top model edition design “Edition Race”.

Powerful Gripping Brakes and Better Handling Performance
The added power of the HAMANN modified 3-Series Convertible deserves an equally powerful braking system and a handling performance that can tame such extreme vehicle. To keep the stability of the convertible at high speed, HAMANN has lowered the vehicle’s center of gravity by 35 mm front and by 20 mm rear.
