Items Your Should Carry in Your Vehicle For Emergencies

Emergencies do not knock on the door, they just come in! While walking in a park or even while driving through the beautiful countryside, emergencies can drop in any time and become a show stopper. The only thing that you can do in an emergency is to think clearly and act accordingly. It is a better idea to be well prepared in advance for any emergency than panicking afterwards. Since a lot of emergences happen when you are in your vehicle; it is always advisable to take some precautionary steps to avoid roadside emergencies. Some of the things that you can carry in your vehicle for emergency are:

• First aid kit: In an event of any injury or accident the first aid kit proves to be of utmost importance. Necessary preliminary medical can be given in such circumstances with the help of First aid kit. A first aid kit should be properly kept and regularly checked for used or expired medical items. Common items in a first aid kit are bandage, antiseptic lotion, medical gauge, antiseptic cream and blood clot assisting medicine and soap.

• Fire extinguisher: Fire hazards are common result of negligence; many times even small fires result in big accidents because of panic and commotion rising from inability to handle fires. A fire extinguisher is generally filled with smothering materials like sodium bicarbonate and CO2 or water. A fire extinguisher is the most reliable way to handle fires and should be used in place of traditional methods like water, sand or blankets to extinguish fires. An empty fire extinguisher is as good as no fore extinguisher; the condition of a fire extinguisher should be well maintained and at full capacity.

• GPS navigation system, Cellular phone and roadside assistance number: In today's world communication is the key to everything. With improved communication methods and applications getting help, when in need, is not a complex procedure. GPS navigation system helps the user to find his exact position and also assists to find the destination. A cellular phone could prove to be of utmost help when needed. Care should be taken to have full charged battery or a portable charger incase the need arises. Roadside assistance service gives the respite from unknown car troubles anywhere you have a car breakdown.

• Warning lights: Vehicles can breakdown country roads or places where there is no proper lightning. Having a warning light can really save the day by letting the other passersby acknowledge your vehicle and thus helping you. Flash lights, hazard triangle and flares are also a good way to let the others know that you are need of help.

• Jack, lug wrench and toolkit: When in a tire related trouble, jack and lug wrench are the most needed equipment and should be carried •in the vehicle. The car toolkit is needed for emergency repairs.

• Spare fuses, Jumper cables or a portable battery booster: Are extremely useful for electric or starting troubles a car makes. Proper care regarding the working condition of these parts should be taken.

Apart from the above mentioned items, you should carry any item according to your need which may include emergency medicines or even a pepper spray.
