It features its standard 2.4 liter World Engine that goes with a dual Variable Valve Timing or VVT, Jeep Cold Air Intake, Jeep Cold Air Intake Filter, 172 Horsepower (128kW) and 165 lb.-ft. (222 N*m) of torque and gives a class-leading fuel-economy of 26 mpg in the city and 30 on the highway.
Dual VVT is a technology which is not available on vehicles sold in the United States. Only the Jeep Patriot has this technology on its system. The World Engine produces much power, better fuel and fun-smooth-quieter riding than other Jeeps without the technology of VTT. The Jeep Patriot’s power is needless to say superb when it comes to all-terrain and off-road duties.
