My Automotive Accessory Revolution!

I decided to get a new shift knob for my old school Honda. I thought at first that I would surly end up with a MOMO shifter since I have heard some really good things and knew there name. I shopped around and checked a few local shops and after not being impressed by anything I saw I started searching on the web.
I ran across a web site called Shutt USA and at first I was not sure about their products but I decided to give them a call and actually talked with the owner. I chatted with him for about 20 minutes and he knew what he was talking about and explained that the reason I have not heard the name Shutt is because this is a Brazil based company and they have never sold to the US before he started importing the restyling products. He explained installation steps for the products I was interested.
Well after the chat with him I ended up purchasing not only a shift knob but I also purchased a shift boot to match and a set of the MetalX pedals. I couldn’t hardly wait for the items to arrive.
To my amazement the items were here 7 days later, NOW THAT IS FAST! I got to work right away.
I had some new black carpet that I wanted to install that I had purchased a year ago so this was gonna be a make over. I tore it all apart in less than 45 minutes. It took me 3 hours just to get the new carpet installed. Finally the part we have been waiting for…the Shutt USA parts. I started with the shift knob and it was installed in 2 minutes with the aid of the supplied tool. Well the shift boot was a little more work, I had a square hole and the boot has a round base with a rectangle back plate. I figured out a way to cover my square hole with the supplied rectangle plate. Tighten down the screws and that was done and installed. Last but definitely not least the MetalX pedals. I had feared that this would be the most difficult part of the install but the clutch and brake went on without a problem. I removed all the rubber pieces on my old pedals. I simply loosen up the screws on the new pedal face until the plate on the rear of the pedal would sandwich my old pedal, attached and tighten the screws. I had a small problem with the gas pedal or at least I thought, when I went to attach the new pedal I found that my gas pedal was thicker than the rest….no problem in the box that the pedals came in was extra long screws for just such an emergency.
I have had the parts installed for a week now and the quality is great, and the look is super. Very pleased with my purchase and will tell friends.
