The Nissan Qashqai may still be a new one in the auto market but this one is surely making waves already. And of course, as creators of this exemplary vehicle, the people of the Nissan Motor Co. are surely wearing smiles that stretch from one ear to the other.
Just recently, the Nissan Qashqai was awarded by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) with the highest number of star ratings for the category of adult occupant protection. And for that, the vehicle received five stars and according to the group’s history, this is the very first time that such a number of star ratings were given to a vehicle.
For the whole set of protection and crash tests, the Euro NCAP would be giving out 37 points and that would be the maximum number of points that a vehicle could get. The Nissan Qashqai may not have been able to get the whole number of points but it sure did take home 36.83 points which is still a milestone.
As per child protection, this new vehicle from the Nissan range took home four stars out of the maximum of five. And that is yet another thing to be proud of in behalf of Nissan for no other vehicle in the small family segment at present has been able to take home such a number of star ratings.
Brian Carolin is the current senior vice president of Nissan of Europe’s sales and marketing team and on these set of accolades, he speaks, “QASHQAI is a dynamic-looking compact crossover that offers the best attributes of a traditional family hatchback with the ability and practicality of a 4x4. Today I am pleased to announce that QASHQAI is also among the safest vehicles on the road.”
The Nissan Qashqai is a compact crossover sport utility vehicle and is sold in other markets as the Nissan Dualis and the Nissan CCUV. This vehicle comes with five doors, can be upgraded with an Apexi cold air intake, and it took the spot that used to belong to the Nissan Almera. It first made its entrance to the auto industry during the Paris Auto Show last year.
