Safety Features In The 2010 Chevy Tahoe

Posted: Mar 01, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

The 2010 Chevy Tahoe provides safe seating for 8 adults. It is stocked with a multitude of safety features that helped it earn a 5 star frontal crash safety rating which is the highest rating provided. Many groundbreaking features are included in the vehicle including General Motors' brand-wide inclusion of Onstar emergency response in newer vehicles.

In the event of a crash, the cab is evenly covered with airbags. Every seat has safety features to insure the well-being of every occupant. All three rows of the vehicle feature head-curtain side-impact airbags. This feature has only recently been included in the Tahoe. Seat-mounted side-impact airbags are also placed in the driver and front passenger seats to protect the pelvis and thorax in the event of a collision. The Hybrid Chevy Tahoe does not have seat-mounted airbags.

Safety features for the Chevy Tahoe not only involve preventing injury after an accident, but prevent accidents from the beginning. With Stabilitrack's electronic stability control, the vehicle comes with tractions control, 4 wheel anti lock brakes, and proactive roll avoidance. This keeps the SUV safely on the road during unforeseen weather and traffic situations.

Sensors are included throughout the vehicle as part of the Onstar emergency response system. In the event of an emergency, an Onstar emergency responder is connected to the vehicle, and the vehicle can be located through GPS without the help of the occupants. This facilitates a quick response by emergency crews. All GM vehicles include one year of free service.

The 2010 Chevy Tahoe is a remarkably safe vehicle within its class. A great safety rating and many new features will keep the SUV on the road and occupants of this vehicle safe from harm.
