Scooters – Perfect For Florida

Posted: Mar 06, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

Last September my husband and I decided to take an adventure.  We were tired of the usual vacation to the beach staying in the same old hotel and doing the same old thing so we decided to do something not very many people would try, so we flew to Jacksonville, Florida, rented two scooters and were on our way.  We rented them for two weeks. That gave us a lot of time to travel around and check out a lot of Florida's beautiful beaches.  We drove every day to a new beach further south then the one before staying in different hotels every night.

The coast line in Florida is just magnificent. The different towns were so wonderful. Our scooters drove very well; they got us where we were going every day.  It was an experience of a life time. We felt like little kids again.  Those scooters go pretty fast too. I could not believe how fast they will go. We put around 600 miles on those scooters, driving them every day.  The only thing I wish we would have done different is getting some kind of trailer to haul our clothes and stuff because the storage was not that big and spacious.  We did have our back packs though.  We just had to do laundry every few days or so.  Lucky the weather was very warm, so we got to pack light clothing.

We started our venture at Jacksonville Beach then headed to Palm Valley, Villano Beach, St. Augustine Beach, Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, New Smyma Beach, Canaveral National Seashore, and finally flew out of Titusville were we left our scooters behind.

The national seashore areas were so pretty they were very secluded and under developed.  It was kind of like stepping back in time when the beach was a peaceful place were all you hear around you was the waves crashing and the seagulls chirping.  I wish we would have had time good the NASA Cape Canaveral Air Station or at least see a ship leave out. St. Augustine was another favorite of mine.

Riding the scooters around that gorgeous town was breath taking. The magnificent homes and old building were one of a kind structure.  The Beach there was very pretty too.  We actually saw three dolphins swimming up the coast line. You cannot get much better than that.

Daytona Beach was a very large beach.  It was neat to see cars, trucks, and four wheelers riding up and down the beach.  I enjoyed riding the scooters down the beach. That day was very exciting for the both of us.  It is not every day you can ride some kind of motorized vehicle down the beach. When we get into a rut again, we may try the west coast next.  It's definitely not for couples with children. I am glad we got to do it before we have any children. Doing that trip made me want to go find and buy us a couple of Scooters to play and travel on.

Thinking about cars brings to mind parts like the engine, brakes and radiators as these are indispensible for proper functioning of the vehicle. But there is another important part which deserves mention and that is the windshield. Irrespective of whether it is bought online or from local auto glass shops, a windshield is manufactured from a special glass which is different from the normal sheets.

It is so nice when you actually can know with confidence that something is going to work. You know what I mean. It is a big commitment to purchase Skid Steer Attachments, only to find that it simply isn't going to work with your machine.
