As announced at the CTIA, an international association for the wireless telecommunications industry, Sony Ericsson will be offering its very first tri-band HSDPA phone called the Z750. The new phone, which will be offered in North America, boasts of its highly stylish clamshell exterior that is mated to a smart interior. The phone is given auto compatibility, full broadband speed for web services and other significant features.
The phone, which is clad in either Phantom Grey or Rose Pink, is not purely all about good looks. You see, it is packed with functionality and updates to bolster efficiency. The Sony Ericsson Z750 features web, true push email, next generation java platform, true connectivity and live tickertape RSS feeds. "Sony Ericsson wanted to make sure our first HSDPA handset was the perfect combination of style and function. As all know, HSDPA is a big leap forward in the speed of mobile functionality, but as always, Sony Ericsson does not deliver technology for its own sake," said Miles Flint, the global president of Sony Ericsson.
Flint added, "We believe the Z750 is such a compelling offer because not only will it be one of the best looking clamshells on the market, but it also provides the tools or applications which really let you get the most from these broadband speeds."
The Sony Ericsson Z750 will be available first in North America later in the year. According to the company, the new product is a key challenge in today’s hectic world. It is the answer to stay up-to-date with the current information. This HSDPA enabled phone is optimized to deliver information straight to the desktop of the phone. Whether it is hot news or vital information via an RSS ticker, the user will likely have it in front of them in just seconds.
What more, this phone is car friendly hence it could be integrated to the auto system of some vehicles that we can find on our streets these days. It could also be connected to the steering wheel so as not to disturb the concentration and focus of drivers on the road. With just a push on the button or sole maneuver on the steering wheel, information can already be had. If the Husky liners are for the car’s floor, certainly, the Z750 is for the modern-day netizen drivers.
"Sony Ericsson is continuing to deliver on the promise of the marriage of Sony and Ericsson with iconic products such as the Z750,” said Najmi Jarwala, the president for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, (USA) Inc. “There is no question that HSDPA is critical for North American GSM operators, and we believe products like the Z750 will entice the mass market to tap into everything these faster networks enable consumers to do while on the move."
The Sony Ericsson Z750 also offers a media player that supports all the major music formats for users to enjoy their favorite music anytime, anywhere. Additionally, the phone provides a built-in FM radio with RDS and 3D gaming capabilities for utmost satisfaction.
